Yes, although it does depend on what debts you each have and how much you can contribute each month. The IVA’s would actually be proposed separately by along side each other so you can see how the finances work together.
This could mean that one IVA gets accepted and the other rejected., and further advice would need to be sought ot see what other options are available, perhaps just for the failed applicant. If you split up during the IVA, the agreements can be adjusted so instead of the originally monthly payment you made between you, you now make one individually, this may need to be reassessed, and your creditors would be involved in this process. Your Insolvency Practitioner would guide and help you with this.
